For Students Entering Middle School in Fall

Welcome to the middle school application process! Your child’s application to middle school will be due sometime in December or January. Between now and then, you will have the opportunity to learn about all of the exciting school choices in District 2. 

  • Current fifth grade students will receive a personalized welcome letter later this fall; this letter will include information on how to access your MySchools.nyc account.
  • Right now, you can:
    • Start exploring program options in the MySchools.nyc middle school directory. 
    • Sign up for our middle school admissions email list: we'll send you more information on how and when to apply as soon as it's available, as well as key date reminders and admissions event invitations.
