Afterschool with PS3’til6 / Village Kids
The PS 3 ’til 6 Afterschool Program, offered onsite, serves students in all grades, PreK through 5, and offers a variety of classes and workshops in fitness and sports, visual and performing arts, cooking and nutrition, science and technology, robotics, foreign languages, and multiple crafts. Its creative curriculum is designed to supplement and enhance the children’s educational experience in a fun and nurturing environment. Offsite – but pick up from PS3:
Greenwich House’s Youth Community Center (YCC) offers an After-School program that combines play, movement, and creativity with academic enrichment to keep students grades K-8 engaged five days a week. YCC activity leaders pick up PS3 students and walk them over to their campus at 27 Barrow St.
With 20+ arts and STEM classes - including Game Lab, Junior Coder, Paint and Drawing, Pottery, Podcasting, Kitchen Lab and more - the YCC encourages students to explore their interests and hone their self-expression, adding purpose and meaning to their projects.

PS3 x Barrow Street Nursery School: Afterschool Program
Join us for a fun-filled afternoon with Barrow Street Nursery School teachers. Our expert early childhood teachers provide a safe and developmentally appropriate afternoon for children ages 3-5. Utilizing our facilities at 27 Barrow Street, children play on our roof, track and gym, and have specialist classes (pottery, music, art, movement) in the afternoons.
Barrow Street Nursery School is now offering enrichment classes, in addition to our afterschool program. We have a selection of classes from 3-4pm and from 4-5pm. Both classes include walkover and snack, and the 4-5pm class includes a gross motor time. Students may choose to sign up for the standalone classes or in conjunction with our regular afterschool program until 5:30pm. If you would like to sign up for a standalone 4-5pm class, please email drallo@barrowstreetnursery.org. These classes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. PS 3 students will be in class with Barrow students ages 3-5.

BSNS Afterschool Registration System
Fall 2023 Afterschool at BSNS will begin on Monday, September 18th and will run until Thursday, December 21st. Our afterschool program will follow the PS3 calendar* and therefore there will be no afterschool on the following days:
Monday, September 25th: Yom Kippur
Monday, October 9th: Indigenous Peoples’ Day
Tuesday, November 7th: Election Day
Wednesday, November 22nd: Thanksgiving Break *(NO BSNS afterschool, PS 3 is open)
Thursday, November 23rd: Thanksgiving Break
Friday, November 24th: Thanksgiving Break
Friday, December 22nd: Winter Break *(NO BSNS afterschool, PS 3 is open)

- The New York Edge Beacon Program is offering free after school and holiday services for PS 3 families. Our program offers daily homework support, STEM programs, sports tournaments, specialized literacy classes, fun field trips, gaming clubs, free meals, and much more. Free pick up services available for all participants. We are open Monday-Friday after school until 6:00pm located at City As-School 16 Clarkson Street New York, NY 10014. ENROLLMENT for the WINTER CYCLE starts on January 20, 2024.
